Four newborn puppies found abandoned in Tuen Mun garbage bin

Four newborn puppies were found abandoned inside a garbage bin in Tuen Mun, sparking angry reactions on social media about the owner’s irresponsible action, Headline Daily reported on Tuesday, citing a Facebook post.

Last Saturday, a man was walking his dog near a garbage station across the street from Shun Tak Fraternal Association Lee Kam Primary School in Tuen Mun, when he was called by a neighbor who asked him to look at what he found inside one of the garbage bins.

The man took a look and found four newborn puppies curled up like furry balls inside the bin. He decided to take them home.

Narrating his experience on his social media account, the man said a veterinarian he consulted estimated that the puppies were a week old.

At the moment, he and his friends are taking care of the puppies, but they hope animal lovers would come forward and offer to adopt them.

Internet users who read his post expressed anger at what happened, calling the puppies’ owner selfish and cruel.

“The owner didn’t bother to neuter his pet, and when the puppies were born, the owner just threw them away like rubbish,” a netizen surnamed Yuen remarked.

Another netizen said the owner should be the one thrown away like rubbish.
