Startups may be brimming with ideas, but most of them lack money, a proper work space and business knowledge.
For sure, there has been a sharp increase in the number of commercial co-working spaces, incubators and accelerators, but young entrepreneurs can always use more help.
Here’s one more option for those seeking assistance:
The HKFYG Jockey Club Social Innovation Centre is located in a 5,000 square foot facility at the renovated industrial building Genesis in Wong Chuk Hang.
The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) has been organizing various youth start-up activities for years. The latest project is a joint effort with Jockey Club to provide co-working space and other means of support to startups.
The scheme gives priority to startups that can make use of information technology to create innovative solutions for key social issues including education, health, aging and environmental protection.
It aims to help over 30 startups to build up their operations, according to Hong Kong Commercial Daily.
Previously, HKFYG also launched other initiatives to provide startups with interest-free loans, business mentorship and networking opportunities.
