Sun Life Financial ramps up digital push

Sun Life Financial has tapped public relations firm A.LOUD Asia Communications to further promote its latest online video commercial and deliver it to a more targeted audience.

Since the deal was forged, the video “Your Wish Determines Your Goal” has attracted more than 650,000 views over three weeks on YouTube.

The video aims to communicate Sun Life’s brand message: the SUN is always standing by you.

With its emotional approach, the video encourages the audience to lay back and relax amid the hustle and bustle of the city, seize their chance to enjoy precious moments with family and friends, and above all, treasure the love they receive from people.

“Our team implemented integrated online campaigns with a prelaunch video featuring Vince Ng Ka-him (伍家謙), a multimedia freelancer and former news anchor, sharing with audience how he strikes balance between work and life after he became a freelancer,” said Adrian Lau, A.LOUD managing director for Greater China.

“What he suggested to make life great echoes the message of Sun Life, making the down-to-earth video even more persuasive.”

Following the prelaunch video, A.LOUD has tapped more professionals to share the video on their Facebook fan page to continue the discussion.

They include former news anchors Snowy Choi, Ryan Lau, Venus Chow and Connie Wong, most of whom are now working as television hosts, columnists, producers and directors.

A.LOUD believes they are the best examples of people who are determined to live a better life even when they are burdened by too much work.

The firm has also targeted several online media outfits including Topick, Economic Digest Online and Baby Magazine Online to place advertorials to outline one of the key messages of the video – parents are encouraged to pay more attention to their children by action instead of just providing them with their material needs.
