Heroic resuscitation fails to revive female motorcyclist

A 22-year-old female motorcyclist died after she lost control of her vehicle and crashed in Sha Tin.

The victim, surnamed Lo, had just received a probationary driving license. Unknown to her family, she was a member a motorcycle club dedicated to safe driving.

Lo was brought to hospital where nine hours of resuscitation attempts failed to revive her, Apple Daily reports.

The accident happened on Sunday night when Lo was turning a corner in Sui Wo Road near Ville De Jardin.

She slammed her newly registered Honda RR150 into a crash barrier.

The impact sent her flying several meters before she hit the ground, investigators said.

Lo had just finished a meeting of her motorcycle club at around 10 p.m.

Her family is appealing for help from witnesses in piecing together what happened.

Footage from a residential security camera captured the accident, Sing Tao Daily reports.

The police have taken the clip as part of their investigation.

A security guard said as many as four motorcycles were traveling close to each other while making a turn in the accident area.
