永續發展~第六屆加州美酒月
好酒迎炎夏：加州美酒月將於今年夏天回歸。透過加州美酒月，加州葡萄酒協會旨在向葡萄酒愛好者介紹加州葡萄酒的多樣性、生活方式以及加州的 ‘Golden State of Mind’。

加州美酒月一直致力體現Golden State of Mind：大膽、創新、樂觀和永續發展。今年加州美酒月將凸顯品牌支柱之一——Sustainability永續發展。超過60個參與合作夥伴將舉辦超過130場活動和促銷活動，著重顯示永續發展以支持我們的使命，即透過永續發展的三個「E」：無害環境 (Environmentally sound)、社會公平 (socially Equitable) 和經濟可行的做法 (Economically viable practices) ，以提高加州葡萄酒對永續葡萄栽培、釀酒的承諾和實踐。
加州是世界第四大葡萄酒產區，長期以來一直是永續葡萄種植的全球領導者。至今，加州80%的葡萄酒產自經認證的永續釀酒廠（2.02 億箱）以及55%的加州葡萄園面積（200,000 英畝）獲得永續認證。加州葡萄種植者和釀酒商正在努力實現一個共同目標——讓地球變得更好；我們會盡最大努力保護加州，寄望新一代能夠繼續釀造與加州一樣充滿生命力的葡萄美酒。 永續葡萄種植包括生產高品質的葡萄酒和葡萄、保護環境、成為好僱主和好鄰居，創造繁榮的永續葡萄酒社區。
為支持今年的主題，官方推出了一個升級再造倡議，透過升級改造廢棄酒瓶製作一套花瓶。這項活動共回收超過600多個來自各酒店集團、餐廳和商店的酒瓶，並將其用於這個非牟利的項目。這個與別不同的活動呼應了官方永續葡萄種植的理念 - 節約資源和採取負責任的做法。
